As a Neighborhood Physician you will be part of a Care Team that is

each patient. Alongside our Physicians, we have nurses, medical
assistants, and scribes to ensure that our patients feel connected
to their experience with Neighborhood.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- As a Neighborhood Physician, you may be required at times to
provide oversight and supervision to advanced practice providers,
residents, rotational students, etc.
- Administer or prescribes treatments.
- Discuss potential side effects to medication or immunization
with patient.
- Promote health by advising patients about diet, hygiene and
methods for prevention of disease.
- Provide prenatal care to pregnant women and provides postnatal
care to mother and infants, when appropriate for specialty and
training.
- Perform surgical procedures and commensurate with surgical
competency, when appropriate for specialty and training.
- Refer patients to medical specialist for consultant services
when necessary for patient's well-being.
- Follow up with patient regarding progress in high risk or
emergency cases.
- Conduct physical examinations to provide information needed for
admission to school, consideration for jobs or eligibility for
insurance coverage. Clinical Administration
- Review patient file/record, including allergies, problems,
medications and immunization status.
- Elicit and record information about patient's medical
history.
- Examine patients for symptoms or physical information.
- Order and execute various test, analyses and diagnostic images
to provide information on patient's condition.
- Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination and
diagnoses condition of patient.
- Determine and prescribe medication, dosage and schedule given
the patient's condition and allergies.
- Prescribe and administer vaccinations to immunize patient from
communicable diseases.
- Document timely the patient's visit including medical history,
physical exam, diagnoses and plan of action. Documentation should
be completed on the day of the visit whenever possible, and no
later than 72 hours from the date of visit.
- Keep informed of organizational activities and promote mission
and goals.
- Regularly check email, mail, voice mail, and other forms of
communication.
- Function at highest level according to credentials and
competency.
- Positively impact patient experience by demonstrating values of
Transforming Care including, but not limited to, courteous and
helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy. Customer Relations
- Maintain professional working relationships with all levels of
staff, clients, and the public.
- Be part of a team and cooperate in accomplishing department
goals and objectives. Requirements
Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO)
Licenses/Certifications:
- CA Medical license
- Board certified in a Primary Care field.
- DEA license
- BLS certification Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or (English/Arabic) capabilities
strongly desired, but not required
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social,
cultural and economic groups Neighborhood Healthcare requires
employees to be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against
COVID-19 and demonstrate proof of vaccination/booster upon hire or
receive approval for an exemption based on a medical reason,
disability or religious belief. Proof of booster dose will be
contingent upon booster eligibility.
Pay range:
- Family Practice- $268-363k, per year depending on experience.
(DOE)
- Internal Medicine- $281-380k, per year depending on experience.
