Job Title: Travel Medical Physicist PositionEpic Travel Staffing Allied is seeking a highly skilled medical physicist to join their team for a travel staffing opportunity in a radiation oncology department.

• Shift: 8 hours, daysAbout the JobThe successful candidate will have a Master of Science in Physics or a related field and completed residency in Radiation Oncology Physics. They will be responsible for performing machine QA on Varian True Beam with Align RT, IDENTIFY, HyperArc, Varian Cones, GammaMed iX HDR afterloader, xStrahl Superficial Therapy Unit, and Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT using Dose Lab and Sun Nuclear software.They will participate in radiosurgery treatment planning and plan checks using Eclipse, Velocity, Aria, and ClearCheck. The candidate will also attend radiosurgery procedures at the machines to provide physics guidance regarding IGRT and surface guidance implementation and ensure safe workflow.Additional responsibilities include attending department clinical QA meetings and participating in weekly and closing patient chart QA. The ideal candidate will take initiative to read current literature to apply the latest knowledge to clinical decision processes and pursue quality improvement projects to support clinical, software, and machine quality maintenance initiatives.Requirements
  • Education: Master of Science in Physics or related field
  • Experience: Completed residency in Radiation Oncology Physics
